Holly S. Cooper (attorney), Anita Barooni (law student), and Amanda Whitney (law student) will discuss the privatization of immigration detention and the detention policies pertaining to persons seeking asylum in the United States. They will also discuss asylum law generally and discuss how the international refugee crisis has affected the United States policies towards immigrants and asylum seekers.
