Description

Rechelle Mojica (San Diego Miramar College) provides an overview of accessibility concerns in online classes. She uses examples and experience to explain accessibility concepts and principles, how to use accessible multimedia and alternate tags, uses of adaptive hardware and software, and Web site usability. She also explains principles of universal design: equitable use, flexibility in use, simple and intuitive use, perceptible information, tolerance for error, low physical effort, size and space for use, community of learners, and instructional climate. Professor Mojica completed the @ONE Online Teacher Certification program, which includes accessibility instruction.
