The mission of Golden West College Athletic program functions as an integral part of the academic and social environment of the community in which it resides. Golden West Athletics is dedicated to providing its student-athletes with opportunities to experience the valuable lessons of self-discipline, competition, leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, character building, and community involvement through athletic participation. Golden West Athletics is intended to foster a sense of community among faculty, staff, and students on campus and to help provide a focus for friends, alumni, and supporters. While providing quality transfer, career, and life-long learning programs that prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed for success in life. We want our athletic program to be a large, comprehensive program by offering an athletic experience that will serve the needs of local high school athletes and the surrounding communities.
