Description

"Empathy is Not For Sissies! Improving ICT Education with Empathy and Perspective"

Carol Engler
Associate Professor, Educational Administration
Ashland University
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carol is the originator of empathic education. This new concept in learning is part of a soft skill set that is not "soft" at all. It is the very foundation of team building and collaboration . . . in schools and in the work force.

All too often, new employees technical skill sets are superb. What is lacking is the ability to see the perspective of others. In the collaborative work place of this young century,
empathy deficits can lead to unhappy customers, decreased productivity, and ultimately bottom line revenue issues.

Her hands-on presentation will help instructors take back to the classroom, ideas and practical applications that will help students learn how to improve their "empathy quotient."
