universities are identifying research and technology that leads
to successful economic development. The telecast highlights how
Universities and Regional Councils have worked together to help
their communities turn the corner in becoming competitive economies.
Examples will focus on how community colleges are providing technical
assistance to regions; how university-led technology incubators
are helping to commercialize products being developed within universities;
and how universities have assisted in identifying the clusters in
a region. The telecast will highlight how economic development organizations
and regional councils are working with local universities to strengthen
their regions.
