Leading in Difficult Times

This program is part of Linkage Inc.'s 2003 Excellence in Management and Leadership Series. It's free to all students of the California Community College System, and features Rudolph W. Giuliani, former mayor of New York City and Time Magazine's 2001 person of the year. During this program, Rudy Giuliani will look back at the leadership lessons he has learned from his experiences as a corporate lawyer, U.S. attorney and mayor. He will share his insights from his newly released book, Leadership and discuss the keys to leading in difficult times.

Students will learn:

• How to create the right structure and team that is aligned with an organization's mission
• How to bring out the best from your people and take the right, unexpected risks
• Why it is critical to develop strong beliefs and lead with candor and courage .
