Self-management education is an effective public health strategy, but sustaining programs is challenging.  This conference will provide information regarding the successful implementation of the Arthritis Self-Help course, including a discussion of the scientific basis, marketing strategies and recruiting local leaders.

Today TB is still a killer if not treated properly, and is the number one killer of women of child bearing age in the world.  This program includes early identification and treatment and effective solutions for preventing TB.

 
4:30 - 5:30pm The Patient with Treatment Resistant Depression: New Evidence for Hope
Up to forty-six percent of patients with depression do not respond to treatment. This program covers treatment strategies utilized to tackle this issue, and discusses new emerging data that may bring the hope of improved outcome to this patient population.
