....Join the annual National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) meeting when the NAM Manufacturing Institute and the NAWB will release their two new handbooks for helping employers and public workforce system professionals work together to achieve their common goals ­ getting skilled workers into jobs and keeping businesses competitive through the acquisition and training of talent. Local employer associations are encouraged to co-host the viewing with their community colleges.

....This live broadcast will feature a representative of the U.S. Department of Labor/ETA; the CEO of the National Association of Workforce Boards; Stephanie Powers; the vice President of the NAM Manufacturing Institute, Phyllis Eisen; as well as employers and workforce system professionals talking about "what works" in bringing together employers, WIBs and One-Stops to help them work effectively together. These two new handbooks will act as guides to help them figure out how to do that. One handbook is geared toward employers, the other to WIBs and One-Stops. Full of job aids and tools that help them understand each other, these handbooks should begin to pave the way toward a more mutually effective relationship.
