NIMS establishes standardized incident management processes, protocols, and procedures that all responders, whether from federal, state, tribal or local levels of government will use to coordinate and conduct response actions.

Since September 11th, the role of the public health professional has become heightened. This program explores the best ways to communicate with the public, how to protect people and keep panic at a minimum and how to communicate with law enforcement officials and medical providers in an emergency.

CoMNET Magazine
This program explores CDC Tiered Labs' protocols and processes, giving viewers an understanding of the level A through D labs. Also, the issues and ethics of containment and quarantine in a WMD incident will be covered. In addition, ComNET will explore civil support team training and joint agency exercises.

Fires in Small Communities ­ Impact and Prevention ­ Part 1
The first of this two-part program explores fire impact by studying several case studies and their impact. The panel discussions and presentations deal with incorporating education, engineering, and enforcement strategies into a community's fire prevention efforts.

The second of this two-part series will include descriptions and discussions on the Church of the Brethren Fire in North Manchester, Indiana; and the Windows and Walls Fire in Hartsville, South Carolina.

Around the Table: Multi-Hazards Planning for Schools
This program features students from the Emergency Management Institutes' Multi-Hazards Planning for Schools course discussing their experiences. Topics of focus include vulnerability assessments, how to deal with emergencies, neighborhood violence, multi-agency planning and the addition of school personnel.

Weapons of Mass Destruction: Live Response
This program is an interagency effort between the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Domestic Preparedness, FEMA and EENET. A panel of experts will discuss topics of Weapons Destruction Consequence Management and other related topics.
