Destination Tomorrow, Part 1 & 2
NASA's 12 part series is designed for educators, parents and lifelong learners by Langley 's Office of Education. This educational informative program builds on the premise that much of NASA's aeronautical research focuses on creating today's knowledge to solve tomorrow's problems.

Photoshop, parts 1 & 2: Introduction to Photoshop & Getting to Know the Playground
This 30-part program focuses on digital imaging and editing with Adobe Photoshop for visual, pictorial and graphic use in all media. Emphasis on creating and enhancing imagery for effective use in mass communication mediums.
Parts 3&4: Saturday, May 8th , 10:00-11:00am : Discovering Selections & Selecting and Filtering Art
Parts 5&6: Saturday, May 15th , 10:00-11:00am : Using Painting Tools & Gray Scale Scanning and Adjusting
Parts 7&8: Saturday, May 22nd , 10:00-11:00am : Colorizing Gray Scale & Layer Basics
Parts 9&10: Saturday, May 29th , 10:00-11:00am : Layer Masks & Advanced Layers

 
Monday, May 3rd

Linux, Parts 9 & 10
This 12-part course introduces the students to the microcomputer operating system. The student will become familiar with basic features, file and program management, disk management commands and menus.

How to participate:



Minimum System Requirements
  • Windows (Pentium), Macintosh (G3 or better)
  • 32 Mb RAM (64 Mb highly recommended)
  • Internet access with at least a 56K modem (ideally DSL, cable, T1 or above)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer v. 5.5 or higher
    (it's recommended you download the newest version for a better experience)
  • Windows Media Player (v. 6.4 or higher)
  • Sound card
  • Speakers or headphones
