This program presents all three dimensions in the new ART of psychiatry: A: Awareness of the medical co-morbidities commonly seen in schizophrenia. R: Recognition of the co-morbidities through monitoring. T: Treatment: Going beyond treatment of the psychiatric illness, to treatment of the whole patient.

Participants in this program will learn how to assist their clients in making healthy food choices and implement changes in their lives. Other topics include the differences between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, menu planning, and the importance of physical activity as management tool.

This broadcast provides a case management approach to childhood asthma. The program includes: factors that contribute to high asthma rates, asthma triggers and warning signs, asthma treatments, asthma's impact on the health care system and families, and a school-based asthma partnership.

This conference focuses on history and assessment techniques that will enhance diagnosis and management of health care problems seen among male patients in women's reproductive health settings. This broadcast will present an overview of the impaired driving issue, share the latest information about NHTSA initiatives, including the upcoming You Drink & You Drive, You Lose national law enforcement crackdown, provide recent statistics and cite studies on impaired driving, discuss the current laws on the books and new ideas, provide a law enforcement perspective on the problem, and identify what coalitions and community citizens can do to help make our streets safer.

Bipolar Disorder and its Comorbidities: Rational Use of Combination Treatment
This program reviews co-occurrences including ADHD, anxiety disorders, conduct and behavioral disorders, and substance use. The use of combination therapies and new data related to the efficacy of these treatment options will be discussed as well as identifying evidence based treatment strategies for persons diagnosed with bipolar disorder with CO-morbid conditions.

4:00 - 6:00pm Measuring the Effectiveness of the Nations Food Service and Retail Food Protection System
This program will announce and discuss the 2004 report, "FDA Report on the Occurrence of Foodborne Illness Risk Factors within Selected Institutional Foodservice, Restaurant, and Retail Food Store Facility Types". Included will be a discussion of food safety practices and employee behaviors identified in the study as areas most in need of priority attention, a review of recommendations for regulatory retail food protections and industry food safety management systems designed to reduce foodborne illness risk factors within foodservice and retail food establishments.

Preventing Sexual Coercion Among Adolescents
"Statistics tell us that 40% of 15 year old mothers are the result of sex with a partner age 20 or older. This program is designed to discuss adolescent sexual coercion, federal and state patient care requirements, and to present practical and specific counseling techniques.
