ONE Technology Enhanced Facilities
In
this video series, administrators at three colleges share
their experiences funding new buildings and technology, selecting
the architect, the consultants, and erecting the buildings.
Faculty, staff and students talk about outfitting the new
spaces with state-of-the-art computers, wired and wireless
networks and presentation equipment and how this improved
technology affects teaching and learning in the new facilities.
Ohlone College's Hyman Hall, SJCC's new technology center
and EVC's new Library/ETC, which opened in June 2004, are
featured.

how to use the "Student Assessment of Learning Gains" website
to develop useful assessments to monitor student success from
Dr. Vic Strozak, the Senior Associate for Science Education
at the Center for Advanced Study in Education (CASE) at City
College of New York. He will discuss how to create use this
online tool, how to design a survey, how to create good survey
questions and analysis of survey results. He is joined by the
@ONE Carnegie Scholars, California Community College faculty
conducting research on the application of technology to improve
student learning in their classrooms. |
