What
are the Infant/Toddler Learning
and Development Guidelines Trainings?
The
California Department of Education, working with WestEd,
has developed guidelines for infant/toddler early
care and education. These Guidelines reflect the most
current thinking in the field and shall help providers
to ensure that group care for infants and toddlers
is of high quality. The Guidelines Satellite Broadcasts
will occur across the state in other community colleges
and education programs. Thousands of professionals
will learn about on this new publication simultaneously.

What
are the benefits for my community college?
|
|
- All
early childhood faculty and students will have early access
to registering for these classes.
- The
California Department of Education has identified the
community colleges as the location for the education and
training of our child care professionals. Community members
who work in child care programs will attend the broadcasts
on campus, introducing them to the possibility of attending
your community college for further education.
- Participants
will receive advance copies of the Infant/Toddler Learning
and Development Guidelines.
- Your
community college will be a dissemination point for state
of the art knowledge on early care and education for faculty,
staff, and child care professionals.
