Responding to a disaster is a complex undertaking. But just as there are ways that citizens can prepare and skills they can develop – they can also learn about the emotional, psychological and physical issues they may experience as disaster workers. This program will help Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members to be prepared to deal with the emotional and psychological responses of the people they are helping. Knowing more about these expected responses will help them to be more effective during and after these dynamic situations. |
