This Ready2Net program focuses on current initiatives and examines the consequesnces of The Mobile User, Mobility and COmmunity, and Mobility and Public Policy.

  • What are the implications of mobility for public and private organizations, especially when the definition of mobility is expansive: mobile networks, mobile content, and mobile clientele?
  • What are the attrubutes of "successful" eLearning or mobile workplace initiatives across education, county, and municipal sectors? Why are these successful? What makes them effective?
  • Do local and state officials understand the impact and implications of mobility? Are teh wireless broadband initiatives (e.g., WiFi) underway in San Francisco, Celeveland, Tempe, Monterey and elsewhere viewed as "endearing" or compelling? Should municipal or educational organizations compete with private network provider?
