Otherwise, to test the specific 3CMedia streams you can test with VLC player by following the instructions below. The 3C Media Solutions channel streams are always active. Video and audio is always present and should be seen and heard once your multicast configuration connectivity is configured correctly. Using Older VLC versions 0.9.4 through 1.0.5
Launch the VLC player from the desktop icon or shortcut.
Within a couple of seconds, you should be displaying video on the screen. The 3CTV feed can be found at 233.25.92.1:38121, and the 3C Community feed is at 233.25.92.2:38123.
Make sure that you have no other network connections or wireless connections enabled, or you must temporarily disable them.
Make sure you have a gateway, or enter your own address as the gateway. Make sure you can ping the gateway address. You may get a pop-up message about it installing some fonts. Launch the VLC Player from the icon or shortcut. Click on Media and select Open Network Stream… For 3CTV multicast stream type in udp://@233.25.92.1:38121. Select Play or hit Enter. Within a couple of seconds, you should be displaying video on the screen. The 3CTV feed can be found at udp://@233.25.92.1:38121, and the 3C Community feed can be found at udp://@233.25.92.2:38123. |
