A recent workforce study conducted by the Allison Group among Nevada's business and industry partners clearly indicates the need for soft skills training for students seeking employment in the ICT workforce. Learn what the College of Southern Nevada is doing to address this challenge. Did you know that it takes more than technical skills, a degree, or a certificate for students to get an ICT job in Southern Nevada? Nevada business and leaders are making it clear that our students must have soft skills (also known as employability skills, career readiness skills, emotional IQ, etc.) in order to compete in today's job market. "We won't hire your students, even if they have a 4.0 GPA or bachelor's degree, unless they have soft skills," according to several major employers in Southern Nevada.
