Description

The Sierra College Tech-Explorer catapult project introduces students to Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) careers. See how equipment has been modified to assure that students are safe as they build the catapults. Students use mills, lathes, punches, saws, heat guns and many other hand and power tools in this applied academic project. Learn more at www.sierraschoolworks.com about the National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to integrate math into the hands-on project and see other movies to increase successful implementation of this contextualized learning project at your school. This project is managed by the Sierra College Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) in Rocklin CA.
