Description

'Book of Days" by American playwright Lanford Wilson, opens the LBCC Theatre, Dance & Film Department's 2009-2010 Main Stage Season September 24 in the College Auditorium. This drama is a study of hypocracy told in a folksy, theatical style is a purely American tale where Wilson combines a brooding political conscience with an affecting eye for the grace in human imperfection.Set in a Mid-west town filled with everyday people you will find yourself drawn into their world and their secrets. The cast includes theatre students, Chariot Jones as Ruth Hoch; Charles Sanchez as Len Hoch; Leo Lerma as Boyd Middleton; Sarah Chaffin as Ginger Reed; Christi Lynch as Martha Hoch; Danny Rangel as Walt Bates; Heather Sapien as Sharon Bates; Ashton Trujillo as James Bates; Kaylee Bouwens as Louann Bates; Eric Guss as Earl Hill; Cory Nestor as Reverend Bobby Groves and Jose Alcantar as Sherriff Conroy Atkins. An abstract set and environment (scenery and light design by Dan Wheeler, costumes by Cathy Crane and make-up by Christine Stahl) merge together to create a surrounding where issues of truth and fidelity explode. Within the safety of community and church, treachery and murder are exposed and hidden, the façade then quickly restored. The play runs for two weeks Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, October 4.
