The Palomar College GEAR UP Partnership Program currently serves 7th/8th graders in San Marcos and Escondido California. GEAR UP is a prestigious and proven United States Department of Education grant that puts federal tax dollars, in collaboration with business partners, back into our local educational and economic system. In partnership with the San Marcos Unified School District, and the Escondido Union & Union High School Districts, has received a new federal GEAR UP Partnership program grant 2011-2019. We are supported by 64 educational, community, and commerce partners. We are 1 of 46 grants selected in October, 2011, with over 1,500 applications nationwide. Funding is recruited by matching your in-kind product, time, and or services. When businesses donate, GEAR UP receives double the ($) value.
