Chinatown Rising
Against the backdrop of the civil right movement of the mid-1960s, a young San Francisco Chinatown resident armed with a 16mm camera turned his lens onto his community. 45 years later, featuring over 10,000 feet of never-before-see film footage, Chinatown Rising documents the start of the Asian-American movement from the perspective of young residents on the front lines of their historic neighborhood in transition.
