Free web speech to text transcription using Chrome - https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/demos/speech.html
This short video demonstrates how you can, at no cost, use Google's Chrome browser to quickly "transcribe" any spoken audio (play any recorded audio, or your own live speech) directly into a typed text file. This type of technology is especially useful if a teacher needs to create a written text file of a podcast or recorded audio lecture, so they can supplement their non-accessible audio content with a text file created specifically for the hearing or visually impaired students. This tool is part of Google's new "Speech to Text API Technology Projects" and is currently being offered online for free by Google. This tool is also useful for other applications, such as in creating long emails, particularly if you speak must faster than you type.
